7/4-28 (thursdays thru sundays at 6:30pm): hudson warehouse theater company presents an outdoor production of alexandre dumas’s the man in the iron mask at the soldiers’ and sailors’ monument in riverside park (uws). pay-what-you-can admission. >>

7/4-7/7: the 48th annual international african arts festival fills commodore barry park (downtown brooklyn) with world music, dance, a marketplace, food vendors, and more. $10 suggested donation. >>

7/4-6: brooklyn cyclones baseball season continues at coney island’s mcu park. fourth of july holiday weekend games include post-game fireworks (thurs + fri) and greatful dead night (sat). $5-15. >>

7/4-6: the wild project presents pas de deux: a performance summer salon featuring collaborative performances by artists who work together as couples, siblings, and friends. wild project (east village), $20 (2 evenings for $30). >>

7/4 various times: fireworks! catch the largest displays of the season near the brooklyn bridge, in coney island, staten island, and jersey city (which will be visible from parts of manhattan). >>
