thurs 9am-12pm: the 93rd annual macy’s thanksgiving day parade boasts 34 floats, 11 marching bands, 30 giant character balloons (hopefully not grounded due to wind), and performances by billy porter, celine dion, chicago, ciara, idina menzel, tlc, and more. starts at 77th street + central park west, ends at herald square. free admission. >>

thurs 10pm: dance off your food coma at the house of yes dirty thursday: dirty turkeys dance party, where bringing a non-perishable food item for city harvest will get you a half-priced cocktail. house of yes (bushwick), free admission. >>

friday

fri: shop exclusive, limited-edition and new vinyl releases while supporting local shops during the annual black friday record store day. bonus: the fleshtones and lenny kaye will play a free record store day show at rough trade (williamsburg) at 3pm. >>
