This Memorial Day weekend, celebrate the next generation of musical excellence as four remarkable ensembles from across the United States make their Carnegie Hall debut. This program features the cinematic brilliance of Julie Giroux’s Just Flyin’ and the vibrant, mid-century charm of Leonard Bernstein’s Three Dance Episodes from “On the Town”, offering a performance rich in color, rhythm, and emotion.

Audiences will also enjoy Morton Gould’s stirring American Salute, a fitting tribute to the holiday, alongside contemporary wind band works by Steven Bryant, Nicole Piunno, and Dwayne Milburn. For lovers of timeless choral music, and those curious to discover what’s next, this concert offers a blend of tradition and contemporary innovation. At its heart is Fauré’s Requiem, one of the most beloved and spiritually transcendent works in the classical repertoire, performed with full orchestra.

The program also features Mozart’s stirring Lacrimosa alongside choral classics like Shenandoah and The Bartered Bride, reimagined through vibrant contemporary arrangements.
