Atlantic Theater Company is thrilled to present the world premiere play I BECAME WE starting performances October 16 for a limited run through November 15 only!
A first-person monologue performed by a sixteen-person choir about a woman in her mid-thirties wrestling with one of life’s most important decisions. With plainspoken, contemporary language sung in the stylings of classical choral music, comes a new formally-daring, auto-fictional play from the writer of I’m Assuming You Know David Greenspan, Mona Pirnot.
Atlantic is thrilled to welcome back Obie Award winners Mona Pirnot and Sarah Benson (The Welkin), as well as Relentless Award-winning composer Jack D. Coen (Jo Jenkins Before the Galactic High Court of Consciousness).
A sixteen-person choir of classically trained singers from across New York City has been assembled for this groundbreaking world premiere musical event. Drawing together some of the city’s finest voices from a wide range of backgrounds, the ensemble brings exceptional vocal range, prowess, and musicality to the performance.
Performances begin in two weeks at the Linda Gross Theater (336 West 20th Street)! Click here to meet the creative team and learn more about the show.
