sat thru 3/30: 10am-5pm: loved. at brooklyn botanic garden: to commemorate the fifth anniversary of nyc’s pandemic shutdown, brooklyn botanic garden reprises loved., composer michael gordon’s site-specific sound installation to honor those we have lost and reflect on the impact of the pandemic on nyc. the meditative composition for seven vibraphones plays every hour on the hour on cherry esplanade and runs 5 minutes, 31 seconds. on saturday, march 22, 42-piece ensemble mantra percussion will perform a live rendition. free with garden admission ($22 general, $16 seniors/students, free community tickets may also be available). >>
